Casa El Carolino

The patio had thoughtful touches, including a shower for cooling off or filling paddling pools, and lots of quirky little things to keep people entertained. We also enjoyed an organ concert from the church right outside. The house itself is lovely and spacious, with large rooms and plenty of bathrooms. It's in a very quiet spot, with short walks starting at the door and a local pool that's great for afternoons. Further out, we visited Olite Castle and found riverside swimming and walks. We'd happily come back.

The garden and terrace were a real highlight, with quirky games, a treehouse and slide, barbecue, fruit trees, and lovely countryside views from Larraga's hilltop position. The grape vine and fig tree were fruiting while we were there. We came in August with six adults, three toddlers and a baby, and the house gave us plenty of room. The kitchen and dining area were lovely, better than the photos suggest; we hardly used the living room in the pleasant weather. It was clean and recently refurbished, while still feeling rustic. Parking is right outside, little shops and bars are a few minutes away on foot, and the owners were easy to reach. We'd stay again.

The family gathering setup was excellent, especially the great barbecue and fireplace. The house was clean, with spacious bedrooms. Everything worked out very well.

We had a happy weekend here with friends. The terrace and barbecue were great, and there was even a foosball table. The place is old, but it's been renovated and everything felt new. The one thing we missed was air conditioning or fans that worked properly.
