Bora Bora The Hotel

Reception staff were helpful, and the roof terrace was nice, though quite basic. There’s no lift. My room was clean but very small. Breakfast options felt a bit limited to me, though that may come down to personal taste. There were lots of little biscuit-like items, plus sandwiches and croissants, but no juice.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the maids did their best. Free coffee and cakes from 8am to 8pm, plus WiFi, were good extras, but this felt more like a hostel than a hotel, and I wouldn’t want to spend my days there. We moved to a slightly better room, but the basic beds were uncomfortable. Outside noise on the top floor and a sound from the roof water pump, I think, were bothersome. The lighting wasn’t great either, and the stairs were narrow and steep, with ropes instead of a proper handrail. It’s a budget hotel, and you get what you get. Fine for one or two nights, but not a good choice for a longer holiday.

The entrance has a red porch roof and is easy to locate from the castle. Reception was civil. You can arrive after 2 and leave by 12, which is better than at many fancier hotels. The ensuite room has a key and WiFi, and the front door uses a code.

It’s a basic room, but you get what you pay for. Cheap and nice enough if you don’t plan to spend your days at the hotel. The staff were kind and very helpful.
