Boutique Hotel Cordial La Peregrina

The room was nice enough, and the location is great. Breakfast was consistently delicious, and the chef was always accommodating about my gluten intolerance. The front desk team were friendly and helpful. I’d stay again, but I’d ask for somewhere quieter than room 111. It’s by the main entrance, so we heard loud guests partying and people coming and going from the roof terrace. That’s what cost it a star.

Visited February 2026. The room was one of the most practical and comfortable hotel rooms I’ve stayed in. The hotel is in a great spot and has been renovated in a contemporary style, done beautifully. Little touches like the digital drawer safe and bedside charging pad, along with the huge rain shower, made the stay relaxing. Definitely recommended.

The building’s history, excellent location and modern interior give the hotel a very pleasant atmosphere. The rest of the staff were consistently friendly, helpful and attentive. I can only give it three stars, though, because of our dealings with the woman introduced to us at reception as the manager. We had only cold water in our room. After four days at the hotel and several showers, with a simple single-lever mixer, she had an employee explain to us on her behalf at reception that we apparently didn’t know how to use the shower. She speaks excellent English in ordinary conversation, but seemed unable to understand even basic words like “warm” and “cold” once we were making a complaint. We got similarly evasive answers about the rooftop, which was closed on four of our seven days there, even though it was one of the main reasons we chose the hotel. To be fair, we were allowed to use another hotel’s terrace instead. Acting as if you can’t understand a language you’ve already shown you speak may avoid a confrontation, but it comes across as dismissive and unprofessional. It’s a shame, because the hotel itself could merit a much higher rating.

The rooftop was a highlight, with a beautiful pool, comfortable loungers and seating, a lovely bar, and a gorgeous setting. Towels were provided. Our room was clean and had working air conditioning and heating, a large TV, lots of storage, a coffee pod machine, bedside phone charging, a kettle, a fridge and a free safe. The staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. We’d forgotten our adaptors, and they kindly lent us some. The hotel is central, close to plenty of nice restaurants, bars and shops, with the two main bus routes nearby. We took a taxi from the airport for just over €30, then took the bus back when leaving. It cost €4.60 for the two of us and was just as quick. Thank you for such a lovely stay. We’ll be back!
