Bull Astoria

The staff were all so friendly and helpful, and the heated pool was lovely for swimming or relaxing, with plenty of sunbeds. We were on the fifth floor, right beside the bar and pool, and the room was very spacious. I don't know if the hotel upgraded us for my 40th birthday, but I couldn't have been happier. I spent the weekend at The Bull Astoria in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, and really enjoyed the bar. We had cocktails, snacks, and pizza, all amazing. The freshly prepared buffet breakfast was great and had everything you could want. The scrambled eggs were so good, and I loved the churro-shaped potatoes. I'd be so happy to stay here again. Thanks for making my 40th birthday weekend wonderful and special! 💓🤩🥰🥳

We had a relaxed, pleasant stay at Hotel Bull Astoria as a couple. It was warm and sunny, and the ocean was beautiful and warm too. The hotel is well placed for both the beach and the city, and it made a nice spot to rest and enjoy the sea. We came away with a positive impression and a lovely holiday in Las Palmas.

The staff and food were great, but I found the hotel itself old and dated. There are trip hazards on the deck that need fixing. I tripped there, and a woman fell too, so dealing with that should be a priority. The area around the hotel wasn't so good either. Beggars kept bothering us nearby, and along the promenade people came over asking for food from our plates. The hotel was good, but the surroundings weren't.

It's a pretty central hotel, an easy walk to the beach, with lots of places to eat there. We used it as a base for exploring, and there are plenty of supermarkets nearby for snacks and drinks. The bar on the fifth floor does lovely cocktails that aren't too expensive. We stayed for a week and had a really pleasant time. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with decent storage, and we had no complaints about the beds or bedroom. There’s no fridge or tea and coffee setup in the room. The hotel is lovely, though a bit tired in places: our floor's carpets were stained and some walls need painting. We were on full board and had no real problems with the food, but it was very similar every day. We lower our expectations about food choices when travelling abroad, and if we don't like something, we can always eat out. Parking is dire if you hire a car. We found a car park two minutes away, which cost €60 for the week; the hotel gives you a card to get in and out. The hotel is full of older people, and some were incredibly rude in the restaurant, pushing past us. Probably not one for the English. A waiter also told us tonight that we couldn't have our own drinks on the table. It's just not somewhere we'd ever stay again.
