Canteras Playa Mc

Carlos at the pool was especially lovely, always kind and ready to help with whatever we needed. The rest of the staff were very helpful too. We spent a week at Sercotel Playa Canteras and had an amazing time. Our very clean room had a stunning view and a huge terrace, and the location made it easy to get around. We enjoyed every moment and would definitely recommend it.

The hotel looks fantastic and the staff seem great, but we are still trying to sort out a double payment. My advice is to set a limit on your card when paying, so they cannot take more than they attempted to charge us. I booked a discounted sea-view room online for €817. The bank showed the payment had gone through, but the hotel emailed to say it had not received the money and sent me a form to pay again. My wife paid the same €817 through that form, and it went through without a problem. The next day, there was another attempt to charge my card, followed by an attempt on my wife's card, this time for €1,117. When we arrived for our holiday, I asked reception why my payment had gone through and why the money needed to be refunded since my wife had paid. They smiled politely and said it was pending and would be returned after some time. We are still dealing with the duplicate payment issue. I wanted to share what happened so others know this may happen too.

We found ourselves living out of our suitcases for much of the trip because there wasn't much drawer space. A full-length mirror would also have been useful. We do tend to pack a lot, though, so maybe we're not typical travelers. The room was comfortable, and we really enjoyed the stay. The hotel is in a fantastic central spot, and the reception team were exceptionally welcoming and friendly. One small issue was the bed linen: a few times during the week, the sheets weren't fitted properly and had minor stains, even though they were freshly laundered.

The staff were brilliant and really went out of their way to help. The rooms were nice and clean. Breakfast was decent quality, though the choice was limited. Thank you very much ❤️
