Casa El Drago - Gran Canaria

The owners were friendly and ready to help with any problems, and the value for money is quite good. The only thing that surprised me was having to cross a common area to get to my room's bathroom. Otherwise, everything was perfect. I hope to return.

The shared areas were clean, and the owners were helpful. The downstairs kitchen was good, though the one upstairs was run-down. There’s also a washing machine, a covered shared spot for drying clothes, and Netflix. We had a good time in the end, but the arrival and departure messages say guests have to make the bed and remove the linens because the owners don’t want to handle them. I’d booked a room described as having an ensuite, but its bathroom was across the shared passageway. The location works well if you have a car. Parking can be on the edge of a cliff in the nearby lot if you’re lucky enough to find a space; otherwise, it’s farther away on a very busy road.

The hosts live downstairs and were exceptionally warm, kind, and attentive. The shared space there has a kitchen, barbecue, tables and chairs, sofas, and a bathroom. Upstairs, the double rooms have bathrooms, and there’s a panoramic terrace with chairs, a table, and loungers. The house is right on the road, with parking out front. I thought the price was very good for what you get. It’s 20-30 minutes from Las Palmas.

There are lots of rules, plenty of noise, and not much privacy. The host's service was really poor. If I hadn’t mentioned my arrival time, I could have been left out on the street: he told me he doesn’t receive guests after 22hrs and hadn’t even sent me the codes for the lockboxes so I could get in.
