Hotel Concorde

The staff were consistently friendly, professional and helpful, whether at reception or in the dining areas, which made the stay comfortable and smooth. The hotel has a pleasant atmosphere and reliable services, and is well suited to a seaside stay in Las Palmas. It's just steps from Las Canteras beach, so you can enjoy the seafront without needing transport, and there's a lovely sea view, especially from the upper floors and common areas. Half-board was well organized: breakfast had a good mix of sweet and savory options, and dinner was satisfying for a relaxed stay. Drinks with dinner cost extra, so that's useful to know beforehand. There's also a swimming pool for unwinding away from the beach, and beach towels are provided, a practical extra given how close the shore is.

The location by the amazing beach can't be faulted. It's about a 40-minute transfer from the airport, and the staff were all polite and helpful. The buffet wasn't great in quality or temperature, so I'd stick to bed and breakfast. There are plenty of local restaurants with very reasonable prices. The rooms don't have tea or coffee facilities, but if you ask at reception when you check in, they'll promptly send a kettle and supplies. All in all, a very good place to stay.

The location is the only good part. The rooms smell bad, the sheets are old and yellow, the curtains are stained, and there are kitchen cockroaches in the bathroom. After breakfast, you smell of burnt oil smoke. It's wrongly listed as 4-star. Never coming back.

The hotel is getting old and the rooms aren't anything special, but the rooftop pool is a plus. The terrace has an awesome view over Playa de las canteras. It's right in the middle of Zona Las Canteras and only a 1-minute walk from the beach.
