The host was kind, the location is great, the rooms weren’t especially loud, and the Wi-Fi worked most of the time. But on the second day there was no hot water, and there was no soap or other amenities. Our linen and covers had holes and were coming apart, so the rooms could use better care. It was extremely cheap to stay here, though, so whether it works for you probably depends on what matters most.
For €24 a night, the location is great and close to everything in Las Palmas, but I still think the price should be lower. The bed was comfortable enough, and there was hot water in the shower. The room had a wardrobe, a table and a desk. It’s a low-budget place with a low standard. There was no curtain on the window, and the TV stand was there without a TV. My girlfriend joked that someone had probably stolen it. The private bathroom was tiny, with no soap or shower gel, and very little toilet paper.
The location is handy: Santa Catalina bus station is about 1 km away, the beach is a bit farther, and the historic centers are around 3 km away. It was fine for one night at €25. Check-in was a little difficult, and the purple wall felt like a lot at first. Still, the place was clean and quiet, and I had my own bathroom, which seemed to have been renovated. There wasn’t much soap, so bring your own. The window had a covering over it that left me feeling a bit trapped.
The owner was really welcoming, and I loved my couple of days here. It has a good atmosphere. The rooms are basic, but the bed was comfortable and the Wi-Fi worked well. For a price like this in GC, what more do you need?
I’m leaving five days early because this place is ruining my holiday. The rooms are tiny and unbearably hot, with a small window that often looks into the building. The beds are small and bad. Wi-Fi worked for only five of my ten days, and the shower was cold for five days too. There’s just one kitchen on the ground floor, where you can use only the microwave and toaster. It’s advertised as close to the beach, but it’s actually near the port. When I complained, the owner told me, “you can’t afford a donkey that runs like a horse,” as if the low price made it fine for nothing to work. The price is the same as most of the better places in town. He fixed the Wi-Fi after that, but it worked for one day and then stopped again.
