The bed is only suitable if you’re under 1.70, and the room wasn’t cleaned, though that wasn’t our main concern. You can only check in online, and only after sending a passport photo. Even then, you have to wait three hours before entering, with nowhere to leave your bags in the meantime. We had to ask several times for fresh towels and eventually got just one. They smelled like they’d come from a wet sports bag, and apparently using the same towel for five days is meant to be fine. After multiple messages, we kept being ignored. We’re not especially demanding, but Paez 'suites'? Never again for us.

I stayed at Paez Suites for two weeks last year. The service was slow and they didn’t speak English, but the facilities were nice. For a March stay this year, from 21.3.-20.4., I booked a room on January 11th. I knew the apartment had two rooms with separate beds and four with one Queen bed each, and specifically requested a room with two separate beds. There were still five rooms available when I booked. After several requests for confirmation, Paez Suites finally confirmed on 26.1. that they had reserved a two-bed room. Then, on 28.2., they suddenly told me that room was no longer available. After several attempts to contact them, they said I was free to cancel. Seriously? I’ve never dealt with such unreliable and unprofessional behavior, and it cost me too, since prices in Las Palmas for March had risen significantly by then.

The room isn’t worth the price, and the company was neither helpful nor friendly. The ads, including the one on Booking, are misleading. The supposed bathroom is more like a built-in cubicle without proper doors, so there’s no privacy on the toilet. The rooms are tiny and not suitable for two people, and it didn’t seem like the place had been cleaned. Worst of all, when someone turns on the common-area light, the light comes into your room too, which happens often in the middle of the night. Expect sleepless nights. We asked to switch rooms, but they wanted another 35 euros as a cleaning fee, which seems a lot for cleaning about six square meters.

I think it’s better than some of the other comments make it sound. To me, it’s closer to a hostel for couples, with small private bathrooms and shared kitchens. The kitchens are reasonably well equipped, so it’s good value for money.
