Hotel Cristina by Tigotan Las Palmas - Adults Only

Hotel Cristina's bar is well worth a visit. Elena puts real passion and creativity into making amazing cocktails, and every drink was delicious, beautifully presented and balanced just right. She clearly loves her work. The bar feels relaxed, and with Elena behind it, every evening can become a highlight of your stay. Five stars for her talent!

The staff really made this stay for me. When I wanted to add more nights and the hotel was nearly full, they went out of their way to make it work. I first booked three nights at Hotel Cristina in Las Palmas, then extended twice because I was enjoying it so much. My eighth-floor room had a balcony facing the harbor, lots of daylight, a comfortable bed, and plenty of space. It was modern and spotless, with fresh towels each day, a big TV, and good soundproofing. I barely heard the other guests. The toilet and shower were separate, which was handy, though I couldn't get the rain shower to work even after reception helped. The hand shower was fine. Playa de las Canteras is right there, with bars and restaurants just steps away. The outdoor pool and bar have a sea view. Rough weather kept the pool closed for a couple of days, but once it reopened, it was a lovely place to sit. Breakfast has a big, solid range of choices. It gets busy when the hotel is full, so I started going earlier for a quieter meal. I also noticed most guests seemed to be 40 or older, and I didn't see any children. It made for a peaceful, relaxed atmosphere. For the price and that location, Hotel Cristina was well worth it.

We had the half-board option, which worked really well for my mum and me. The freshly cooked breakfast was delicious, and we spent our afternoons unwinding on the beach. The hotel had the comfortable, relaxing feel we wanted, with good service and a lovely spot by the sea. This was my second stay, and we'd happily come back.

The poolside lunches have been good, and room service is quick with tasty food. We still haven't tried dinner in the restaurant. Breakfast is fantastic, with plenty to choose from, and the hotel's right by the beach. We think it offers great value, and this was our second visit to Hotel Cristina in Las Palmas. We were happy with both stays and expect there'll be another. Our last day this time was disrupted by a conference. Around lunchtime, its guests held a mingling event by the pool. It felt odd and uncomfortable to be sunbathing while several people took photos with hotel guests in the background. The area got crowded and loud, ordering food became nearly impossible, and many of us ended up leaving. I hope this was just a one-off planning problem. The staff are consistently friendly. We also think paying a bit more for a balcony with that ocean view is worth it. Thanks for another lovely visit.
