The location is ideal for getting around, but it does come with street noise. The hotel is right by Parque San Telmo, across from the city’s main bus station and just steps from Calle Triana, with lots of shops. My room was ready when I arrived around 1pm. I had a double room for myself with a balcony and enough space, plus a good fridge. A kettle would have been useful. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and cleaning was regular, reliable and careful. Breakfast ran until 10:30 on weekdays and 11:00 at weekends. There was a good mix of sweet and savoury items, some hot dishes like scrambled eggs, vegetables and baked beans, plus Canarian specialities, delicious cakes, and plenty of coffee and other hot drinks. The Cafeteria next door had snacks and drinks at very reasonable prices, but unfortunately it shut at 7pm, despite Google Maps saying 9pm. The gym equipment isn’t really up to date. The cardio machines in particular should be replaced, and I’d prefer a leg press and cable tower to the two multifunction machines. All in all, I’d recommend the hotel and would consider coming back.

The hotel is spotless, and the staff we met were all very helpful. We booked a superior room with a small sitting area. The beds were super comfortable, with three pillows in different sizes, and the bathroom was spacious with a walk-in shower. It’s a nice boutique-style place in a great spot, close to the bus station, bars and restaurants. There’s a pleasant walk to the old town and cathedral, and buses around the island and city are easy to catch from the station across the road, less than five minutes away. The bar closes at 7pm. The breakfast buffet has quite a lot on offer, but not enough hot dishes for my taste. It would be nice to have different kinds of eggs, like fried or omelettes, plus sausages and maybe pancakes. There’s no rooftop bar, which would have lovely views over the city and ocean. It’s a good hotel for a city break and sightseeing, but probably not the place for a pool and sunbathing holiday. If I return to Las Palmas, I’d definitely book it again.

The breakfast was the highlight for me, one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had. There was fresh bread and fruit, deli meats, smoked salmon, filtered coffee, freshly squeezed orange juice, and tempting red velvet and chocolate cakes. I held out for the fresh pastries instead! The room had several English news channels, and the free safe and fridge were a bonus. The shower was hot and powerful. Rooms and shared areas were clean, staff were friendly and helpful, and the linen, towels and complimentary toiletries were good quality. The hotel is in a lovely central part of Las Palmas, next to a pretty park with a nice Modernista period cafe/bar and the bus station, with buses to all parts of the island. Triana’s main shopping street is five minutes away on foot; the cathedral and museums in the historic Vagueta area are a 10 to 15 minute walk. We walked to Las cantaras beach three times, about 45 minutes each way, though taxis were plentiful and cheap. We wondered whether there’d be enough to do for a week, but we could have stayed a month. There are so many cultural sites, beaches, and superb bars and restaurants. We’ll definitely return to this hotel if we come back to Las Palmas.

The rooms are spacious, very clean and comfortable, with a walk-in shower. The cleaner came every day and cleaned and changed what was needed. Staff were helpful, including with bus advice. The hotel is in a great spot near bars and restaurants, and only a five-minute walk up to the old town and cathedral. I’d definitely book it again if I returned to Las Palmas. I actually prefer this location to the north, as it feels a bit more looked after and less boxed in. The bus station is two minutes away, so it’s easy to get around on buses, which take cash or card. For Puerto de Mogán, take the 91 directo.

I’ve stayed here before, and the location is superb. The spacious, comfortable room and efficient check-in and check-out made for an easy stay. It’s also a great base for exploring the city and the rest of the island, with the central bus station close by.
