Live 2. Santa Ana

We only stayed one night, and the place was cosy, clean and full of lovely old-style furniture. Santa Ana Suites and Rooms sits right opposite the magnificent cathedral in the old centre of Las Palmas, just a few steps from the Colon Museum. There’s a large living room at the entrance, with six rooms around it. The rooms were beautifully designed and sparkling clean, and each had a fully equipped kitchen. There are also two large, very clean shared bathrooms. Visited September 2025

The location in the historic city centre is fantastic, and the hotel has a great cultural feel. Our room was beautiful and well equipped, with comfortable beds, good bedding, plenty of towels, extra bottled water and lovely Nespresso coffee. We had a suite with our own bathroom, though some rooms share one. The staff sent us an entry code a few minutes before check-in. That worked for us, but another guest had trouble, and there’s no one on site. The staff were pleasant when we dealt with them. There’s nowhere to pull up even briefly to unload a car, which is awkward if you have a lot of bags, especially with the flight of stairs. The place is also noisy if you want to sleep early: restaurants and street noise carry up from the square. On a weekday it quieted down around midnight, until the street cleaners and others started up about 7am. There’s no AC, so you need to open the patio doors or windows for air, but the streetlights stay on all night. It’s a fantastic location, though maybe not ideal if you’re sensitive to noise. I still recommend it, since those things will suit some travellers just fine.

My room was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated, which made it a cosy place to relax. The staff were friendly and attentive, and made sure my needs were met. The location also made it easy to get to nearby attractions and amenities. I had a wonderful stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable visit.
