We booked these apartments well in advance, when there were plenty of other options. Then our reservation was cancelled just two days before check-in, by which point we couldn’t find anything suitable for the same dates, even at twice the price. We lost the cost of plane tickets for three people because of this. Were we reimbursed? No. We also overpaid for other apartments on different dates, which ended up costing more. Were we refunded that extra money? No.

The apartment was spacious and had a dining table, and the location was great. A lovely place, though the sofa felt a bit loose.

The building already smelled bad when we walked in, especially on the landings, and the apartment itself was far worse. I’ve never had such a terrible experience. This wasn’t a case of the floor simply needing a sweep or a mop. The place was genuinely unsanitary. The sofa had visible stains from suspicious fluids, and the sofa on the balcony was the same. The mattresses had stains we’d rather not think about. The bed frame was streaked with grease, as if it hadn’t been cleaned in ages, and the bathroom was filthy. The closet with the blankets and other things was a closet of horrors. We were so disgusted that we showered in flip-flops and covered the beds with our own clothes before lying down. I’ve attached photos to show the dirt and neglect, so this doesn’t happen to anyone else. It was truly awful.
