I keep coming back to the Wave Temple, and it feels more like co-living than a standard hostel. Its location and setup are great, just minutes from the beach, surf spot, and shopping center. The rooms have only two or four beds, so there's room to breathe compared with many hostels nearby. David and his partners also make time for guests and are genuinely welcoming. It's a place that feels like home to me. Not every detail is perfect, and it doesn't need to be. The overnight price is fair too. Thanks for everything, friends.

I spent five weeks in a private room at The Wave Temple, and it was just perfect. Marc and David are awesome hosts, and the location couldn't be better. Everything you need is there. For remote work, the WiFi is fast, there's a desk in each downstairs room, and the upstairs hostel has a great workspace in the communal area. Nights are peaceful and quiet, so sleep wasn't an issue. Can't wait to come back next season! 💚

After staying in several Las Palmas hostels, The Wave Temple became my favorite. The house is spacious, relaxed, and calm, and felt like a real home to me. Marc and David are great hosts, and I met some awesome people there. It's super close to the beach and surf too. Definitely recommend!

I booked six nights but left after two because two people in the hostel were coughing all night, and I didn't want to get sick. I asked the managers if they could help or return my money so I could find somewhere else. They were kind until we started talking about money, then they didn't help or refund me, so I had to leave. The owners marked my booking as a No Show, which meant I couldn't leave a review on Booking. The hostel isn't social, is very basic, and has nowhere to work. I'd rate the price compared with what you get two out of five. There are plenty of nice guesthouses and other hostels for less money, with lovely people, so I recommend not booking here. To the owners, I believe your greed will come back to you one day. My advice is to be more human and empathetic, and not think only about money.

The Wave Temple makes a handy base for a surf trip in Gran Canaria. It's right by the beach, and you can rent a surfboard there. The rooms are comfortable, with a new kitchen and bathrooms, and the price is competitive. A good fit if you're after waves and a convenient place to stay.
