Wavia Hotel - Adults Only

We loved the stay. The decor was lovely, and the place was clean and really quiet, so it was easy to relax with a book, watch something, or have a drink on the balcony. The beach is literally a minute away, which makes it easy to go without carrying lots of stuff. Check-in and checkout were straightforward, and the system worked well for us. There aren't many services, but you're right in the center and can get what you need in under a five-minute walk.

The street is quiet even though you're close to everything, and the room looks nice. But the cleaning needs work: there was hair all over the bathroom.

The roof terraces were a real plus, with views over the reef to the south and the hills to the north. There are two of them, with an outdoor table, loungers and a jacuzzi, though I didn't try it. No cushions for the loungers. There are also outdoor showers and a toilet, which I didn't use. Upstairs there's a lounge reached by a spiral staircase, but the WiFi doesn't reach it, so it's no good for working. Overall, it felt quite expensive for a one-bedroom studio, though the location and terraces do add to the price. I stayed for two days in July 2025, in the top-floor penthouse terrace studio. It had a king bed and recliner sofa. The location is great, one block from the top end of Las Canteras beaches, and it was easy to find. Reception is only open from morning to early afternoon, and the after-hours number is for emergencies only. The kitchen had a dishwasher, cooker and oven, microwave, large fridge-freezer, capsule coffee maker, kettle and toaster. No washing machine. Cutlery was very limited, just two spoons and forks, and the frying pan was tiny. There was a small table with two chairs, but it wasn't big enough to use as a desk. The bathroom came with shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and moisturiser. The air conditioning was good, and shutters on all the windows made the room dark at night. WiFi was good, though it dropped out now and then.

The location is fantastic, and I thought the hotel offered good value for money. I had a pleasant stay. Some guests have complained about the lack of reception staff, but personally I didn't see that as a major problem. One thing to bear in mind: rooms facing the other building may not work for anyone who wants an open view or much privacy. Even so, I'd recommend it for a comfortable, affordable stay in the area.
