The cancellation threw off the last part of my three-week New Year’s trip, and it was a really stressful mess. I’d booked and paid nearly two months ahead, then after travelling more than 2000 km, I only heard on arrival day that they’d cancelled because of overbooking. By then I was already on the road, so finding somewhere else wasn’t realistically possible. My messages with the host made it clear the availability problem was on their side. They did refund me, but the handling was poor. I’d be very careful booking here, especially in a busy period.
