Getting around was easy, with a nearby bus and the metro about 15 minutes away. The beaches are close too, and having a car makes the location especially convenient. The rooms were clean, breakfast was nice, and the hotel itself was very nice.

Our room was lovely, with two beds and a private bathroom, and the receptionist was warm and helpful. The area felt peaceful, with a bus stop, restaurants, and shops close by. We could also get food delivered to the room. The hotel wasn’t serving dinner while we were there, and I didn’t care for the breakfast.

For a business trip, this was a great hotel. I wasn’t very taken with the dinner menu, though.

The staff were nice, and the place had a clean, modern look. A few things in our room weren’t right; we sorted some out ourselves and just put up with the rest. Apart from that, it was a good room and the people were nice. We didn’t eat there, though the food looked good.

We stayed at the Avanzada for a short break in Bilbao. The room was clean and really nice, and the airport bus connection was quick and convenient, with the stop just outside. WiFi was a bit patchy at first, but good once it got going. I was a little disappointed there were no tea or coffee facilities in the room, and only a limited number of English TV channels. At least that gave me a chance to catch up on reading.
