Camarote Hotel Gastronómico

The staff were friendly and tried to help with the air conditioning, but the room stayed very hot overnight. We couldn't set it properly ourselves, so we asked them to adjust it. They said it was set right, yet it still didn't cool enough. The next day they changed it again and assured us it was correct, but the same thing happened. The system just doesn't seem powerful enough. It was 25° inside when it was no more than 29° outside. Not sure how that would be in summer.

The bed was spacious and quite comfortable, and the location is excellent. We got the last available double, right near reception, so there was steady noise during business hours. Our thermostat didn't work. With the window open on the first night, a compressor or fan outside was extremely loud all night. We shut the window the second night and it was quiet, but the room became hot and stuffy. I asked to have the thermostat reset, but it never happened. Breakfast was generous, though service only begins at 9am. It cost €18, which seems to be the going price in this part of Spain. Expensive.

A charming little hotel right in the old town, with loads of good bars and restaurants nearby. The cathedral and main square are just a couple of minutes away on foot. This was my second stay and I'll definitely come back. Give the rooftop bar a try 👌

We had lunch on the rooftop terrace, and it's a good idea to reserve a table. The setting is spectacular, though it was pretty windy during our visit. The food was okay but fairly pricey compared with most places in León. Service felt mediocre too: some of what we ordered never arrived, and the staff didn't pay much attention to guests. We didn't stay at the hotel.
