Albergue Molino Solacuesta

It’s a lovely, peaceful place close to the center. The bottom bunk sits much too low for whoever sleeps there, though, and the two-seat sofa is so sinky it’s practically unusable. A big, comfortable sofa would be much better.

It’s just up a flight of stairs to the center of Lerma, and the location is excellent. We felt at home in the big living room, especially with the fireplace, and the patio has two large barbecues for nice-weather grilling. The manager was really friendly and attentive.

We got a box of Lerma biscuits, which was such a nice touch. The mill is also a beautiful place, with every detail just right and spectacular views of Lerma. There’s plenty to visit nearby, including Covarrubias, the Yecla Gorge, Santo Domingo de Silos, and Burgos. A group of friends and I had a great weekend there. Thanks for everything, Sandra. We’ll definitely come back.

The owner was so nice and attentive. We spent a few wonderful days here, and the setting is great for time with children, with a stream and picnic spots right beside the hostel and very few people around. The dining room is huge, good for large groups. It’s well equipped with cookware, a toaster, plenty of cutlery, and other kitchen utensils. The rooms have wardrobes and bed linens. Heating was great too, with two pellet stoves warming the whole hostel, plus a wood stove. There’s also a patio with tables, chairs, and a barbecue. I recommend it.
