The homemade breakfast was a real highlight, all traditional Spanish food and delicious. The staff were friendly and gave us useful ideas about what to do, where to eat and what to see. Posada del Oso was the best of all the hotels and posadas we stayed at on our trip to Cantábria, and a highlight of the trip overall. The valley and mountain views are stunning, and it’s easy to get to Potes and the other villages nearby. There’s also convenient free parking on site. Inside and out, the place is beautiful. Our spacious room had wooden chalet-style decor, and the beds and linens were very comfortable. The bathroom had everything we needed, including a small sponge for cleaning shoes. That little detail came in handy when I needed to clean my boots after the rain. We really enjoyed the stay and will come back for longer when we’re next in Cantábria.

The staff were very helpful and friendly, and the room was comfortable and clean. It’s a great hotel near Potes, with a nice view over the valley.

Worth spending at least one night here. The breakfast was good, and the hotel was really clean and quiet. The staff were lovely and spoke English too. I think it’s much better than the other hotels in Potes. More than excellent.

Breakfast had lots to choose from and the service was excellent. The hotel is beautiful, set in a stunning spot in a quiet little village. There’s a lovely walking trail starting right by the hotel.
