I travel all the time for work with SNCF, and there’s often no signal on the trains. I had booked through Booking.com, but the hotel sent me a form that wasn’t even translated. When I couldn’t complete it, they cancelled my booking and kept the money. They refused a refund and said I couldn’t book again because there were no rooms left. It’s outrageous. I’m glad I won’t be setting foot in this hotel. I should’ve paid more attention to the reviews. There’s clearly a serious problem here, so avoid it and don’t book.

For the price, it’s not bad, and the double room with a sink is really nice. The location isn’t great, though. The dining room has lots of sofas but no chairs, and most contact is by phone, which feels impersonal. The staff on site couldn’t speak our language when we had questions. Phone service was awkward but fine, and overall the hostel is good value. Grateful for everything 🤗🤗👍🏻

We’d told them we’d arrive around 1:30 AM, even though check-in ended at 10:00 PM. When we got there, nobody was around to let us in, and we were left out on the street. Hotels all the way to Cantabria were full. It’s disgraceful to have a reservation and be treated this way. Terrible management.

The room was clean, and parking is available. In the mixed dorm, though, the bunks creak whenever someone moves, and the steps down from the top bunk are too narrow to use barefoot. The bathroom could use something to hold onto, and there’s no hairdryer.

You’ll need a vehicle to get around, since there isn’t much nearby to enjoy on foot. Still, it’s a quiet place on the main road for an overnight stop, and both the staff and phone service were excellent. The receptionist is from Ukraine and isn’t fluent in the language, so communicating was a little difficult, but she did make herself understood. I’d happily stay again if I’m in the area.
