The building is beautiful, and everything feels simple but elegant, comfortable, and free of bling. There was a lovely lounge, a good breakfast, and staff who were incredibly helpful. It was a real highlight of our bike ride from Lisbon to Santander via Bilbao. There's not much nearby, apart from a great, simple café restaurant on the village square, about a 10-minute walk away. The genuine style and friendliness here made a surprising contrast with the five-star hotel we stayed at in central Bilbao. They're not really comparable in theory, but in my opinion warmth and style beat a big budget every time. Thank you!

In a picturesque valley, there's a beautiful, super-comfortable room with quality fixtures and furnishings. The owner was gracious and spoke English. Just around the corner, an excellent café served a great dinner.

It's a medieval building that's now a bed and breakfast. The room was cool and very quiet, and the place was well outfitted and comfortable, though fairly basic. A great stop on the Camino del Norte.
