I wrapped up my stay working out in the garden, with warm sun and a cool breeze. It had me feeling like one of those digital nomads with an enviable life. I was there with my cousin for cycling nearby, and Casa Rural Flor de Vida turned out to be a lovely place to come back to. The rooms are spotless, roomy, comfortable, and well equipped. After city noise, the quiet was almost hard to believe, just right if you need some peace. The huge, well-kept garden has two alpacas wandering around. They’re shy but watch you with curiosity, and kids will love seeing them. Quique and Gemma are wonderful too, happy to help with anything.

We held a training seminar for 30 people over the weekend, and the large event space on the top floor worked really well for the group. There’s no lift, though accessible rooms are available on the ground floor. The hotel is comfortable and cosy, in a beautiful village, with pleasant gardens. Two friendly llamas live in a big enclosure by the river. They keep foxes away from the chicken coop.
