The only downside was that the toilet doors had no locks. Otherwise, we had a great experience, and I’d recommend it to everyone. If I could, I’d give it 6/5 stars. The views from the windows and balconies of the mountains, river, and lake are beautiful. The staff were lovely and tried their best to help with anything we needed. There’s tasty food, a bar with free snacks, a pool, table tennis, table football, and billiards. The service was nice too. 😀 - Mr. Orbits

The hotel looks out over a rocky river running between two mountains, in a quiet town at the end of the road. Seriously, paradise. I’d suggest booking a room with a balcony. Estany Blaus has a big common room with games for when the weather’s bad, and the hotel restaurant serves delicious local food. Breakfast is free and absolutely wonderful. Can’t wait to come back.

The owner went out of his way to help us plan our time in the area, and the drive up the mountains was well worth it. The hotel sits by the river at the entrance to Tavascan. Our room was clean and spacious, with a good mountain view, though you could ask for one facing the river. My son enjoyed the pool, and my wife liked the jacuzzi. The food is simple local fare, very well prepared.

Good people, and they also own the place across the street. I’d definitely recommend Tavascan. If you’re after a hiking map, wait until you get there. Just keep in mind the climbs are steep: a 4 km hike to a peak can involve 4,000 ft of elevation gain, as it did for me.
