The room was decent for a hikers’ hotel, and we were very well looked after. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly.

I stayed here both before and after hiking the Porta Del Cel, and was surprised by how much I liked the place. It has a simple elegance, like a rustic lodge, and the service was excellent. The room was clean and as modern as you could expect in an old building. I felt treated like a guest. I’ll be back next year to hike the same trail again.

On the GR11, this was a much-needed stop: a beautiful room and the warmest welcome. Dinner was included in the price and was some of the best food I’ve had so far. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful too. 10/10 recommend.

After long days walking, the food was just right, with good portions and high quality for the price. The staff were so friendly and helpful, going out of their way to make our week of hiking enjoyable. When I lost my reading glasses on the side of a mountain, for example, they lent me a pair. The basic room was clean and had a decent hot shower. Brilliant stay.

Every member of staff was smiling, the welcome was kind, the room was glorious, and the dinner superb. Prices were reasonable too. Exactly what you hope for in a hotel. Well done, and thank you, hotelLlacs de Cardos. If you’re hiking the GR11, you MUST stop here. It was the best place of my six-week trip.
