The room was spacious, and the bathroom was really comfortable and had a hairdryer. This is a house with seven apartments, equipped with things like a washing machine, coffee maker, blender, toaster, microwave, fridge, and TV. The views and surroundings were unbeatable, and it’s very close to Llanes. Highly recommend.

The mountain views and the soft sounds of cows and sheep made the setting feel rural and idyllic, and the location was great. But the service and attention to detail were disappointing. We’d told them there were seven of us, but there were only towels for six, and no bath towels. The bedspread was filthy, and there were countless cobwebs behind the bedside tables and headboards. There was no salt, sugar, or soap. I know those things aren’t required, but they make a stay easier and say something about the place’s professionalism. They also came to turn off the heating in the morning. If you didn’t ask, nobody came to turn it back on later. We were out sightseeing and didn’t get back until after dinner, so the house was freezing. The boiler was locked, and although we called and someone came, it was already very cold by then. On our departure day, they cut the electricity before noon, even though that was the agreed checkout time. The house itself isn’t bad, but if we’re back in the area we’ll choose one of the many rural guesthouses nearby. They looked much better and, I’m sure, pay more attention to the details. This was the only place with space available, while all the others were full, and rightly so.

There are lovely hiking and mountain sports routes nearby, along with rivers and beaches, and the house sits in a spectacular setting about 4 km from Llanes. It’s cozy, but livestock graze nearby, so there are lots of flies, and now and then a bad smell comes from the drains.

The owner was lovely, and the house and its huge garden are beautiful. There’s a barbecue and toys for the kids, and it’s close to Poo beach. I’d give it a 9 out of 10. My only downside was finding a few spiders. Being in the countryside, that’s normal, but I have a strong phobia!
