Apartamentos Las Fuentes

This happened just four days ago, and it was a really bad experience. The apartment looked one way in the pictures but turned out to be something else. There was an unpleasant damp smell, and the place wasn't well maintained. The toilet seat was chipped. We hadn't even been there for half an hour and hadn't spent a single night, so we left quickly to find somewhere else after telling the owner we were unhappy. Even so, we were charged the full amount. I found that very poor form, and we left deeply disappointed.

It may look cute when you first walk in, with the furniture, but the reality underneath the sink is filthy. The plastic dish rack was moldy, the bathroom sink wouldn't drain, and the plumbing was full of black gunk that made me feel sick. Then they insist you leave at 10 so it can be cleaned. It's hard to believe the drain has been blocked for years, as if cleaning it were somehow our job. Cheeky and lazy.

It's a charming staff and a very comfortable, central place. A good base for a few days in Asturias. In peak season, finding public parking is difficult, so paying for private parking is a sensible idea.

The apartment was very clean and had everything needed to make lunch or dinner there. For four people, though, one bathroom feels a bit cramped, especially with two of us being girls. We'd still definitely stay again.
