Hotel Migal

The coastal path, cove, and beach are lovely, and the views really make the place. You can order a taxi if you don't fancy the long walk to llanes town. The buffet breakfast was good, with bacon and eggs cooked fresh. Our dinner was much less enjoyable. In our group of five, two people had finished and others were halfway through before one person got a simple meal. The pleasant staff gave us a warm welcome, though the cramped reception felt like a secure post office. The standard loft rooms are basic and tight, with a Velux-style skylight and no view, maybe more suited to backpackers. The deluxe rooms are better and fine for a night or two. The shower hose wasn't long enough to reach its holder.

Breakfast was very good and the bar was OK, but dinner was terrible. My burger arrived raw. I sent it back, and it came back still undercooked, on a bun soaked with blood. The superior room felt musty, cold, and damp, and the bed was far too firm for a good night's sleep. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

We went into llanes to visit the village, since it's nearby, and I also got to the beach twice because it's right next to the hotel. Our room had a very big toilet. The bar was too expensive, though we still spent a lot of money there.

The food was very good and the location was lovely. I had a great evening over drinks with a couple of the staff. The only downside was that the wifi worked only at reception.
