The unexpected donkeys made the stay especially memorable. It’s a quiet, remote-feeling spot, though only 10 km from Benissa, with green surroundings and a thoughtful approach: water is cleaned and reused for the garden, and the place runs almost entirely on solar energy. Everything was spotless and carefully prepared. Richard was kind, genuine and welcoming, which made the visit feel personal. A peaceful, sustainable mountain getaway I’d gladly recommend.

For cyclists like us, the path up to the Refugio and its outstanding views was a real treat. The setting, breakfast and hosts were all just right. A unique, calm oasis in the mountains where we could properly relax. Thank you, it was a pleasure to stay there!

There’s plenty of walking nearby, and a couple of restaurants are within reach. Benissa is a lovely little town about 15 minutes down the mountain road, with the coast about another 15 minutes away. The property is amazing, the food was truly excellent, and the hosts were perfect. Such a beautiful setting and wonderfully peaceful. Thanks, guys!

Great views and lots to see and do nearby. The rooms were clean, breakfast was great, and the owners were helpful. It’s way out in the middle of nowhere, with no TV or phone reception, which suited the quiet feel. With the other guests, you can be as social or keep to yourself as you like. I liked it here.

We managed to book for just one night at the last minute, and it was good value with easy communication. Beautiful place, and we’d love to come back with the kids and stay in the glamping tent!
