The rooftop pool was amazing, and breakfast was always really tasty. The waitresses were lovely too. Service was great, and the room was kept spotless. Katia did a very good job cleaning it. We also had a nice balcony, and they provided the basics like body wash, shampoo and soap.

The rooftop pool and bar were probably the only parts of the hotel we liked. The dark-haired man serving drinks was cheerful, kind, and happy to bring them to our table, though the pool was absolutely freezing, so I only went in once. My fiancé’s stone-baked cheese pizza was mostly grease, with hardly any tomato and very little cheese. We’d booked from October 15 to 22, 2025, but arrived in the early hours of the 16th. The receptionist we met then spoke little English, so we had to use Google Translate most of the time. We were first put in room 418. There were little beetles in the bathroom, and every time we showered, water spread across the floor. The room smelled awful, and even the towels smelled like food. The hotel is a short walk from the beach, but locals spat in front of us and tutted whenever my fiancé and I walked down the alley. I don’t know if it was because we’re British. My fiancé already felt unsafe walking back or around the hotel, and then she was bitten by a black fly, as our doctors later told us. The staff didn’t seem to care or offer much help. I know they aren’t doctors and it wasn’t their job to diagnose the bite, but they looked shocked and suggested the hospital after the pharmacy couldn’t identify it or give us eczema cream. That part wasn’t the hotel’s fault. She’s anxious to begin with and had a bad allergic reaction. We changed rooms because the two single beds pushed together were too short for us, and we kept falling into the gap or having our feet hang off the end. Neither room’s air conditioner worked properly, just blowing warm air. Room 112 smelled even worse, and we were heaving. Its balcony had a tree right outside, with loads of mosquitoes and flies swarming around, which made my fiancé more worried after the bite. We’d booked breakfast but didn’t try it. There didn’t seem to be food for English guests, perhaps it suited French or German guests better, and what looked like an English breakfast looked vile. We had to eat out each morning. We recommend Route 66. My fiancé got very dizzy and nearly fainted at a restaurant, and we also got the bad news that our dog had escaped, so we packed up and took the next available flight home. I explained what was happening to the younger receptionist, but he showed no empathy and didn’t even say goodbye. That was the last in a string of bad experiences. I don’t understand the hotel’s four-star rating. To us, it felt more like three. I wouldn’t recommend it and would advise Brits against staying here.

We loved the rooftop bar, a nice spot to relax in the evenings with good views and a laid-back feel. The staff were welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Hotel Lloret Santa Rosa is also handy for getting around, just a short walk from the beach, shops, and restaurants. Sleep was harder, though. The walls are very thin, so we heard everything from neighbouring rooms, and the late-night noise was a problem too. The hotel seemed to draw a younger crowd. We still had a great time. If you want somewhere lively with friendly service and a rooftop bar, it worked well for us.

The breakfast was first class, and the staff and service were very good. We had a couple of small problems, but they sorted them quickly. The rooms were fine, with nice little balconies, and the hotel is well placed near both the beach and the old town. We stayed for a week at the end of May and would have stayed longer, but it was fully booked. I can only say good things about it and would definitely return.

The hotel was clean and lovely, but dinner wasn't great. We ended up eating out for the rest of our stay.
