Apartamentos Guitart

We stayed all inclusive for a week in April. There was plenty of choice at breakfast, dinner and tea, and the food was quite tasty. The staff were pleasant and willing to sort out any problems. The rooms were clean and comfortable, though small for somewhere advertised as four star, and they got quite cold at night. I'd rate the hotel closer to a high three star. It was very noisy, so I'd bring earplugs. There's only one all inclusive bar, and having a second, quieter one would have been nice.

We were a group of nine, including five children, and the stay has been a blast. We booked after Thomas Cook went under and our original holiday was cancelled. The receptionist was smiling and welcoming when we arrived at 3 in the morning. The pool and bar areas are great, and there's always somewhere to sit, though the sun loungers could use an update. Food is decent, but more variety and more options for kids would help. There are plenty of places to eat close by if anything comes up. Most of the staff have been nice and pleasant, though one or two could mind their manners. I was worried after reading reviews, but it's been a nice hotel and a fab stay. We've got a few days left before we leave.

The food was amazing, and the animation team kept us entertained. The resort itself is lovely, but we paid 3grand for an all inclusive family holiday and found Lloret better suited to 18-30s than young families. Outside the pool and beach, there wasn't much to do unless we spent a lot, such as €180 for the water park for a family of five. Our room also didn't match the description. The advertised 2 bedroom lounge suite was two rooms divided by a glass panel, with cushions turning one bed into a sofa.

We had a terrible holiday here. The online photos didn't match the hotel, and after traveling for hours we arrived late to rude, unhelpful front desk staff. There was no food or drink for us, not even water. The first accommodation was unsuitable for a family, and we had to complain about four times before being moved somewhere better. Our sheets were never changed during the stay, and we had to go collect fresh towels ourselves a few times. The food didn't feel up to four star standard or worth what we paid. Despite the all inclusive setup, staff complained when we filled our water bottles, and the bar didn't open until 11am. We spent most of the holiday at the beach or in town. The location is worth recommending, but not this hotel.
