The pool is large and lovely, with a beautiful view, but the owner only cleaned it once or so during our two weeks there. He's nice, though quite old, and communication was difficult. He also used the pool sometimes, which felt odd since we hadn't been told the owners would use the property too. We were disappointed with the house, especially for the price. It was very dirty when we arrived, and we had to clean everything and wash all the dishes again because they looked as if they'd just been put away after use. We had to buy glasses and cutting boards because there weren't enough, or none at all. There's no dishwasher either. The layout doesn't really work for 13 people. The two main-floor rooms were acceptable, though one had a very small bed. Under the roof, there's a room where anyone taller than 1.80m can't really stand up. Two other spaces upstairs aren't private: one has glass doors and huge windows without curtains, so it gets very hot, and the other is an open gallery with three beds side by side. There's also a basement apartment with a single-bed room leading into a double-bed room, but we weren't allowed to use its kitchen. The old house has no air conditioning, and it got as hot indoors as it was outside. We struggled to sleep, especially sharing a room. You might have a decent stay if you don't mind these things, but with the hygiene issues and poor condition, I wouldn't recommend it.

The pool area is nice, but the house was a real disappointment for our group of nine in September. We knew it was rustic, yet so many things didn't work that it clearly needs renovation. The electric hob was faulty, one burner didn't work, some shutters and windows wouldn't close, the coffee maker was broken, and the oven kept switching off for no reason. Two spaces listed as bedrooms weren't proper bedrooms: one was a three-bed dormitory without a door, and the other was like an aquarium, all glass, with no blackout curtains or shutters. The agencies renting it out don't mention that. With stairs all over the place, it's also completely unsuitable for anyone with mobility problems.

The swimming pool is the only acceptable part of this place. During our rental, the elderly owners lived in a separate basement apartment, so there was no privacy or security for our belongings. The house is very old, uncomfortable, and dirty throughout. It has plenty of rooms, but it's a rural house rather than a suitable vacation villa. Only four bedrooms have doors. The other sleeping spaces are hallways without wardrobes or proper bedroom features, and the roughly 50-year-old mattresses and pillows made sleeping very uncomfortable. The bathrooms haven't been renovated in over 50 years. The pool bathroom is newer, but even that is over 15 years old. There are two kitchens, one in the main house and one in the basement, but no dishwasher, which seems surprising for a place said to sleep up to 12 people. There's no air conditioning or fans, so it gets very hot in summer. The upstairs isn't insulated against either heat or cold. Some windows have screens, but not all, and there are lots of mosquitoes. The house is built on a slope, with many stairs that are steep, have small steps, and don't meet current building codes. It isn't recommended for small children because of the fall risk. Also, anyone taller than 1.80 meters (5'11") should expect to bump their head a lot. This place needs major renovation to work as a vacation rental, including the bathrooms, beds, air conditioning or ceiling fans, and other amenities.
