We went as a family with my two young grandsons. The family room was a good size and looked onto the pool. On day two I called reception because one bed was broken at one end, and they quickly sent someone to fix it. The next day the other bed broke too, its legs kept bending until one side was nearly on the floor. Again, they sent someone promptly. The kids loved the pool and slides, and there were plenty of lifeguards around the other pools. The kids’ club was good, with friendly staff, PlayStations and Nintendo Switches that suited my grandson. Entertainment was okay, I suppose. The hotel is in a good spot, an easy walk to the shops, and there’s a playground right next door. The kids were big fans of Burger King and McDonald’s, since they weren’t keen on the hotel food either. We were all inclusive. I asked the Jet2 rep about excursions, but was told there wasn’t much suitable for young kids aged 5 or 6. That was disappointing, as I was getting fed up with shopping or sitting by the pool all day. The restaurant we were assigned wasn’t good. The food wasn’t nice, was only slightly warm, and went cold by the time we sat down. After a few days, I asked to switch to the Coral restaurant, recommended by two lovely sisters from the Isle of Lewis. The receptionist arranged it, and it was much better for choice, atmosphere and friendly staff. The pool snack stand was okay if you like chicken nuggets, chips, calamari, burgers, paella or pastries. It was meant to open at 10:30, but hot food wasn’t out until nearly noon. Housekeeping really let us down. On the first day, the kids got my blanket dirty, so the next morning I pressed the light for room cleaning. We came back and it hadn’t been touched. I did it again the following day. The maid came in, but didn’t change the blanket, only swept and mopped the floor, and left the balcony and bathroom alone. After that, I pressed the maid light each day, but over our seven days the room was cleaned only three times. The same blanket was on the bed when we left, and the splashes behind the bathroom taps were still there. I’d normally clean those myself, but wanted to see if housekeeping would do it. The plastic cups we took up to finish our drinks were also left in the room until we checked out. I can’t say I was impressed with the maid service. I’ve attached a photo of the blanket, though it doesn’t show as badly as it looked all week. I’ve been here now, but wouldn’t return.

We only enjoyed one of the seven nights. The food and staff were appalling. On the first night, we were assigned a restaurant where the food looked days old, was covered in flies, and even the potatoes seemed to have bugs. We were eventually moved to another restaurant. It was still awful, though a little better, with no bugs and some of the food partly hot. It was the same thing every night. The staff were so rude and seemed to understand little or no English unless you were Spanish. I paid to upgrade to a pool-view room, then was told our hotel didn’t have pool views. When I asked for my money back, they refused. Asking for drinks got a nod, with no interaction, and there was little to no daytime entertainment. Our room was never cleaned. They only emptied the bin and dumped towels on the rack.

We had a lovely stay at the Olympic Suits, and the suites were excellent, with daily maid service. We were a family of four, with girls aged 15 and 10. The staff were excellent from reception to the bar, and there was a good variety of food and drinks. The food overall was good, especially the snack bar, which worked perfectly for us. The location is a little far from the beach, but that’s a minor thing. It was our first all inclusive holiday, and I’m not sure it’s for us. The canteen gets really busy, though the staff do a great job feeding everyone. We’d rather go out for restaurant meals, but if that doesn’t bother you, this is certainly great for families with little kids. Reviews complaining about one incident or one staff member seem crazy to me, with so much going on and so many staff, you can’t expect every moment to be perfect. We had a great time overall. Special thanks for letting us pay €50 for a late checkout because of our evening flight. It made those last few hours much easier.

We were about a 10 minute walk from the seafront. Our room was very clean and looked modern, and the shower’s blue light was a cool touch. There was some road noise when staying above the front entrance. The pools were nice, and the snack bar by the kids’ pool was just right for a light bite. There was lots to eat, though I’d have liked more food choices. The draft beer was very good. I’d stay here again.

The restaurant staff were friendly and good. Reception staff weren’t very friendly, and the Wi-Fi in the rooms was very poor.
