Hotel Fenals Garden

We had a wonderful seven-night stay, and the location suited us perfectly as sea lovers. Fenals beach, one of the best on the Costa Brava, is only a seven minute walk away. The hotel is near a large avenue, but it’s quiet at night. Breakfasts and dinners were the best we’ve ever had, delicious and plentiful. Huge thanks to the local chef. The rooms were comfortable and very nice, with everything you need, even an iron. The air conditioning worked perfectly in the summer heat, and the staff were always friendly and ready to help. The pools were okay, especially the kids’ pool, though the adult pool could be bigger. We’d definitely recommend the hotel for a longer stay in Lloret de Mar.

The location was convenient, with everything we needed close by, and our room was clean, comfortable, well equipped, and just as described. Staff were welcoming, helpful and always smiling. The breakfasts were delicious and had something for everyone. Our kid absolutely loved the pool and slides, and could have spent hours there. I highly recommend this hotel for families!

It was quiet, and the hotel was clean and well kept. Rooms were cleaned every day, and each one had an iron. The food was tasty and varied. Just be aware that it’s full board, not all inclusive, so drinks cost extra. The beach is a seven minute walk away, and I think the price was worth what we got. I may come back.

The staff were friendly, and the kids’ pool was a positive, though wheelchairs and prams can’t get to it. A small ramp would fix that. But this place was advertised as a four star hotel and fell far short of that standard. The room was basic but clean, and the bathroom needs renovating. The bar and restaurant felt very dated and badly arranged, with too many tables and not enough room to move. Breakfast was good, while lunch and dinner were mediocre at best. Food was heavily reused: roast chicken thighs from lunch became kebabs at dinner, and leftover green roast peppers and potatoes were mixed into an omelet. The juice glasses and coffee cups weren’t clean, and sat on a black, dirty, mouldy mat that was never wiped. It was disgusting. Sun loungers were covered in black mould, even though a good pressure wash could easily clean plastic. It seems management doesn’t care about hygiene. The location wasn’t great either, with heavy traffic day and night that made it hard to sleep or relax on the balcony. There were just two tiny lifts. Getting up or down with a pram that barely fit took forever because of the queues. I’ve never seen lifts so small in a hotel this big.
