Hotel Guitart Central Park Aqua Resort

We were glad our stay was only five days. The hotel feels outdated and needs a renovation. On our first day, the shower door nearly fell on my boys. I had to ask reception three times to fix it, and even then it was only partly repaired. The food was nearly the same most of the time. Drinks and food are pricey, and I personally wouldn't recommend the hotel or come back 🙄

By the end, our stay at the hotel was very positive. The service during the stay was excellent, and we felt well cared for throughout. The Director was particularly professional and attentive, and the whole team were kind and dedicated. They paid attention to details, gave personal care, and were genuinely willing to help. That experience was much better than the impression left by the booking process. After I posted this review, the hotel contacted me and quickly resolved the issue professionally. I appreciated that, and the service at the hotel itself matched that improved standard. The reservation problem itself was small, but it was extraordinarily difficult to find anyone willing to take responsibility for it. I booked through the Catalan Chess Federation link for the 2026 Catalonia Chess Championship. Somehow, whether because of my mistake or a system issue, I reserved six nights instead of the five I needed, and was charged the full amount at the agreed federation rate. I called the hotel many times, going through switchboards and transfers and hitting dead ends. Although I spoke with several people, no one seemed able or willing to sort out this basic issue with a fully paid booking. I also sent a detailed email and got no reply for a week. Another time, after I calmly explained the situation again, someone at reception hung up on me. The booking error wasn't what made this so disappointing. It was how hard it was to get help with a straightforward customer matter. A hotel is judged by how it responds when a guest needs assistance, and my initial experience was deeply frustrating.

We had a wonderful time here. The buffet staff were incredibly kind every time, and the receptionists were always friendly. Reception is available around the clock, and our rooms were cleaned daily. I can only recommend the hotel 😊

Elian was a great entertainer! The hotel was very accommodating with my son's allergies and specially prepared food for him. We had nice, clean rooms that adjoined the rooms of our friends.
