Hotel Rosamar Garden Resort

The drinks and desserts were the best part of dinner, which was otherwise bland and tasteless. Lunch choices were limited and most of the food was cold. Breakfast had a decent range, but we tried coffee four times before finding one we could drink. The booking said snacks were available all day, but they were only served from 1 to 3 pm, and were just reheated chips. The all-inclusive drinks were limited to 10 am to 11 pm, despite being advertised as available all day. Guests on the all-inclusive plan got the cheapest brands, while those paying separately received much better drinks. We reported a broken light switch in the communal men's toilet four times, but it still hadn't been fixed after a week. At check-in the staff were polite and helpful, though they seemed rushed and more focused on the deposit than welcoming us. The start seemed fine, then things began to go wrong. I wouldn't call the whole stay terrible, but I wouldn't return, especially not for a family holiday.

The room was on the small side, but we spent most of our time out anyway. It was cleaned every day. The pools were great for toddlers and bigger kids, and our kid had a great time. The real surprise was the food at Rosamar Garden. The choice was amazing, and it was cheaper to eat there than in town. We only realised halfway through the stay, but I'd happily go back later just for the food.

The beach was very close, and I liked the view. Staff were friendly, answered our questions, and helped when needed. The rooms were okay, though the hotel isn't new and the furniture and general look aren't very modern. It also wasn't very clean. There was a huge range of food, including options for kids, vegetarians, meat and fish lovers, plus lots of fruit and desserts. Quality changed from day to day. Sometimes it was tasty, other times bland and not salty enough, maybe depending on the shift. The espresso at the bar and the ice cream were both really good, which mattered a lot to me. The snack bar was handy if you missed a meal.

The pools are a good attraction for kids, and the hotel is conveniently placed near beaches, restaurants, and markets. But the room was very small for me and my two children. The air conditioning gives you very little control, which wasn't great. The food could be better, and there isn't much variety.
