Hotel Rosamar Maritim

Our room's air conditioning didn't work, and it was hard to sleep in August with the door open to the main street and all the car and people noise. We reported it and emailed management, but got no response. To cool the room, we had to leave the door open to the inside corridor, which didn't feel safe with kids. The gym equipment was all out of order except for a noisy treadmill. For a four-star hotel, I expected a kettle and cups with coffee or tea in the room, or at least a coffee machine in reception for when we didn't want breakfast. There was nothing in the room, and the only working machine in the restaurant operated in the morning. It was often out of options, with only espresso or Americano available, while the other options were off most of the time. At dinner, water was the only soft drink included; everything else cost extra. We were staying at Rosamar Maritim, and I don't think management knows hospitality. I wouldn't recommend it at all.

Super, we'll be back next year. The hotel has what you need on the Costa Brava: right by the sea, comfortable and clean, with a proper kitchen, rooftop bar, pool, sauna, and gym. Above all, I'd single out the staff as the best part of the place.

We just got back from a seven-night half-board stay. The hotel is in a fantastic spot right beside the main beach, and we were delighted with the food. Everything was incredibly tasty, with a wide choice of dishes. A kettle in the room for making coffee and tea would be the one thing I'd suggest adding.

The service was awful, and the rooms were dirty, with at least hair and grime on the furniture. The paint and finish made the room feel like an old, abandoned place. The website photos are misleading. You expect some difference, but this went too far. There was a TV and air conditioning, and that was about it for a hotel that feels like two stars. The buffet food was bulk junk, though that wasn't my main problem. We'd paid for it in advance and were still told there was no table available and we'd have to wait. We also paid for parking ahead of time, then were told it was full. The manager explained politely that this was normal, and that we'd have to wait by the gate without knowing when a space might open up. Avoid if possible, and be very careful with other Rosamar hotels. They may treat customers and services the same way.
