Hotel Victoria

We were 2-3 minutes from the beach, and the location was perfect. Breakfast had lots of options. The room was clean, but the walls don't block much noise. We could hear everything from the other rooms, and our neighbours were noisy. If you're a light sleeper, bring earbuds :)))

I wouldn't recommend half-board. The food was absolutely horrible, as if everything had been microwaved or prepared days earlier. And surprisingly, water bottles aren't included, so you can't drink during dinner. The rooms were clean and nicely arranged, and the staff were kind, but the hotel was bad overall. A couple of other things: parking costs 20€ a day, which is ridiculously expensive, and the soundproofing is terrible. You can hear every little thing your neighbours do, which can be a problem if they're party-goers and you're not.

We had a great stay this summer, and the hotel was quiet even though it's near the beach, the centre and the clubs. The location is great, and the hotel feels new. Our room was cleaned every day with fresh towels, and the bathroom had a hairdryer and even toothbrushes. We booked bed and breakfast so we could try local food at different places, and breakfast was great, with cereals, ham, Greek yogurt, Nutella, different breads, salsa, desserts, juice as often as you like, coffee and tea. The staff were very nice, including a woman at reception from Serbia who spoke Serbian. The beach is two minutes away. We went instead to the beach under the castle, which felt more intimate. When you go into the water there, the beach and sea are level, unlike the long Lloret beach, where you walk down a little hill into the sea. Lloret is lovely, with different kinds of shops, bargains, and chances to negotiate for a very low price. We tried paella and liked it, the sangria was wonderful, and the ice cream had delicious flavours. Cocktails came in big glasses, for example, 8 euros for a pint of Mochito. We only went to clubs at night, which was fun, and didn't have time for a discotheque. The water was the cleanest I've seen so far, but cold. It was only a problem until we got in, then we didn't want to get out. Bring a water mask to see amazing fish and octopus. There are trips to other places too, and I'm sorry we didn't have time to go to Tossa de Mar in our seven days. We went to Barcelona with our guide, Selena. Barcelona is amazing and needs at least three days to see everything and enjoy it. Don't miss the Magic fountain. It's mesmerizing. It was a great holiday, though short, so we'll have to go back.

We had a great nine-day stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff were really friendly, and the city was lovely. The seashore is only about 200 m away. Would definitely recommend it.
