The beach was within walking distance, and the food was nice. I came with my family and enjoyed the stay. There were plenty of facilities, including indoor and outdoor pools. My son and I went to the gym every day. It was clean and had a range of equipment, and the sauna was spacious too. A memorable family holiday.

The location is great, very close to the beach, and getting around was easy with two elevators. The staff were friendly and came daily to clean the rooms and change towels. The rooms were fine if you're not too demanding, and I liked that there was a hairdryer in the bathroom. The sinks, though, were terrible; you couldn't wash your hands properly. There's also a pool and jacuzzi in the basement, free to use if you book a specific time the day before. The first few days seemed promising, and I thought the food was good and people were exaggerating. Then the children started vomiting and getting stomach upsets every day. I saw raw potatoes and dirty, unwashed tongs and cutlery. They wiped each table with one cloth and no cleaning products. I started vomiting that same night and didn't get to explore Barcelona. The trip turned into a nightmare, and I don't recommend coming here. It was bad for my mental and physical health.

Breakfast was good and plentiful. It got busy, but they refilled the food quickly. There were lots of elderly guests, and although the pool was open, I didn't see anyone swimming, probably because it was winter. The location is fairly convenient: about a 10-minute walk to the bus stop and around 30 minutes to the beach. But the service and rooms disappointed me. Check-out was required by 10 am, which I'd never heard of before. The room had very few amenities, no slippers or toothbrushes, and the front desk couldn't do anything about it. There was poor sound insulation, a thin blanket and a small sink. For a 4-star hotel, it seems overrated. Given the price and breakfast, though, I'll stay neutral.

The pools were a real highlight, especially the indoor pool and Jacuzzi. You book a 45-minute slot at reception, and when my friend and I went, only two other people were there. The sauna was closed, though. There are two outdoor pools, one busy one by the bar and a quieter one across from the function room. We mostly used the quiet pool and often had it to ourselves. My room was clean and comfortable, with everything I needed. From the balcony at the back of the hotel, I could see the nearby hills, which looked lovely at night with the houses lit up. The balcony was roomy but needed a table. Noise was the main problem. I could hear other rooms, the corridor, and people outside through the balcony doors. My noise-cancelling headphones helped until they stopped working on the last night. Then I struggled to sleep through shouting, the elevator, and people moving chairs. There’s no seal around the door, so adding a draught excluder might cut down the corridor noise. I wouldn’t recommend it for families with small children or light sleepers. The food was a strong point for me in terms of choice. I enjoyed the tuna steak, duck, and desserts, which had plenty of nutmeg. Lunch and dinner both had lots of variety, but food I took back to my table was often cold or lukewarm. Breakfast was the same every day and could use more variety. Reception and bar staff were friendly and attentive. The bar menu shows which drinks are included in all-inclusive. Cocktails tasted good, though their recipes seemed to vary a lot depending on who made them. The cups are small, so I made plenty of trips to the bar during the evening, which is to be expected with all-inclusive. It’s about a 15-minute walk to the centre of Lloret along a main road. We were happy with our stay, but wouldn’t come back.
