Hotel Maeva

The family who run this hotel are lovely, and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was very clean and comfortable. It had basic facilities and no air conditioning. We were at the front, with a lovely sea view, but it was noisy because the hotel is right on the beachfront. If you want quiet, choose another room, or do what I did and bring earplugs. Breakfast was a nice continental spread, with limited choices that were continually refilled.

Our room looked out at the beach just across the road, and it was cleaned every day. We spent a lovely week at this quiet, clean, friendly family-run hotel. Breakfast was tasty, with tea, coffee, and juice kept topped up, and something different to eat each day. I’d definitely recommend it and come back.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and our room felt warm and welcoming, with a large bed. It’s a small family hotel, but we really enjoyed it. The sea view was beautiful, and the hotel is about 20-30 meters from the beach. Breakfast and cleaning were both okay. We recommend it.

There’s no WiFi, and I saw that as a big plus. We spend so much time in a virtual world that being offline gave us a chance to talk, go for walks, have fun, and enjoy a proper rest and holiday. The hotel is right in the town centre, a minute from the promenade, with plenty of restaurants just outside. Some rooms have a fantastic sea view. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I’m guessing it’s a family business, and it was adorable seeing a little girl help clear tables after breakfast. Breakfast was very tasty and always fresh, and so was the bread. And that lovely coffee! The rooms were cleaned every day, with clean towels and beds. Five stars from me 😊
