The sofa beds were uncomfortable, though luckily there were only three of us. I wouldn’t recommend this place for young children or older people. The living room also had very poor soundproofing. There were loads of ants on the kitchen counter and in the cupboards, so we had to buy something ourselves to deal with them. We also had to cross the whole city with our luggage to collect the keys, and there’s no elevator in the hotel. We weren’t told that cleaning fees would be taken from the security deposit, even though the website says it’s for possible damage. A very disappointing stay.

There were cockroaches all over the kitchen, which was easily the worst part. The apartment was also noisy, though I can’t blame the owner for that. It was meant for four people, but the kitchen had just three glasses, and there was only one fan for all four of us.

We booked two nights but left after the first. The place was dirty, the lights were full of bugs, and there was a horrible smell. I had an allergic reaction there, which conveniently went away as soon as we left, without me needing to take anything.

The real estate agents were very helpful, and that was the only good part of the stay. The apartment ruined our holiday, and we won’t return. It’s on the third floor with no elevator, has no air conditioning, and the heat is unbearable because it’s in rooms that used to be on the roof. The bathroom is inside the bedroom, so anyone staying with other people has to have them come through their room to use it. It might suit a weekend bachelor or bachelorette party, but I wouldn’t take children or older people there. Every night, the neighbor across the street had terrace parties until four in the morning. The street is so narrow it felt like the party was inside our home. Cleanliness was nonexistent: the sofa bed looked like it had been picked up off the street. One terrace chair had a broken leg, and the table had a hole and was covered in grime. They brought us two new chairs, but the apartment is for four, so two people would still have to stand.
