Agroturismo Son Sampoli

The house and garden are nice, and the location worked for us, but the rooms are very poorly soundproofed. We could hear breakfast being set up, people talking and showering, and even someone in the next room peeing. There were ants in the bathroom and kitchen. One night the power and water went out, so our phones couldn’t charge, the heating and toilet flush didn’t work. Management did nothing, and there was no greeting or check-in to see if things were okay. The only person we saw each morning was a woman setting up breakfast who didn’t speak English. Getting into the property was a miserable start. We’d said we’d arrive between 9 and 10 pm, completed online check-in and paid, but at 9:30 we were stuck at the gate with no access details. It took three hours on the hotline, with our three-year-old in the car, before someone got us to our room in the large property with several houses. Eventually someone gave us directions and entry codes, something that could have been done at least two and a half hours earlier. Our child fell asleep in my arms in the car. It was cold and dark, and we didn’t know whether we’d get in or have to sleep in the car or find a hotel in the middle of the night. We’d booked a double bed, as stated in the booking, but got two singles, a problem with our child sleeping with us. They assured us we’d get the first night refunded, but returned only €95 for a €121 night. The manager said they used the average cost of the nights we stayed, so even there they saved money. I was told they had done everything they could, but I’ve worked in hospitality and don’t agree. We have relatives nearby and thought this could work for visits, but we won’t stay here again or recommend it.
