Hotel Best Delta

The staff’s focus on guests and the flexibility at reception made a big difference, especially Mr. Mouhcine. They deserve more than five stars. The hotel has spacious rooms, great facilities and tasty food, with a huge pool, plenty of sunbeds, fun slides, a free shuttle to Palma and Arenal in very nice buses, and good food with live cooking. I’d recommend it 100% and will definitely come back.

Most of the staff were polite and helpful, but the bar service was slow and it was often difficult to get anyone’s attention, even when the place wasn’t busy. I wouldn’t stay here again unless the price were very low. The shower temperature kept jumping from very hot to cold within seconds, making it hard to have a normal shower. It felt wasteful to leave the water running while waiting for a few seconds at the right temperature. When I told reception, they said it affected all rooms. The WiFi in our room was very poor. I reported it twice, but they offered no fix or room change. It worked in other areas, which didn’t help us in the room. Dinner was disappointing too. I often ended up with the same Asian wok dish, though I’d come to Spain hoping for local food. There was something to eat, but only a small portion of the dishes were good. That’s not what I expect from a four-star hotel. The game room was in poor shape as well, with machines missing parts or having controls that didn’t work.

We’ve just come back from 11 days here with our family of 10, six adults and four children aged 2, 4, 10 and 14, and had a fabulous holiday. Mouhcine welcomed us and was extremely kind and helpful throughout. He’s a credit to the hotel, and if he isn’t a manager, I think he should be. All the staff were good. There was something for the children every day, including candyfloss, a foam party and balloon modelling. After the children’s disco, the adult entertainment was brilliant, with some great bands and singers. The food was brilliant, with a different theme every night as well as freshly cooked burgers, pasta, pizza, chips and more. Gala night was fabulous. My son is a Celiac, and the one slight downside was that not many dishes were labelled as gluten-free. Only one chef spoke English. He was helpful, but busy, so better signs would have helped everyone. The pools and facilities were fabulous too. You can walk 20 minutes to a beautiful cove, but it’s very rocky, with no sand and slippery rocks. For a sandy beach, there’s a free coach from the hotel twice a week, and one to Palma three days a week. There’s also a regular bus stop right outside.

We used this lovely place as a base for trips all around Mallorca, and the location worked really well. Breakfast and dinner buffets were great, with a good range of dishes, and the people were kind and helpful. I especially want to mention Sergio, an Italian guy working in the restaurant. What a nice person. Does Sergio ever get a rest?
