BLUESEA Costa Verde

The all-inclusive drinks were limited to three beers or wines at lunch from 1-2.30pm and three at dinner from 7.30-9.30pm, due to local rules. We hadn’t known that when booking and would have considered somewhere else. Near the end of the season, the hotel entertainment was dead. Nothing started until around 9pm, there wasn’t even music, and there was nothing to keep the kids entertained. We just sat in a room with our drinks, which was pretty boring. Families of four or five had paid a lot more than us and were in the same situation, and I’d have been really annoyed in their shoes. This place might suit a couple who plans to go out most days and just needs somewhere to sleep, but the all-inclusive deal really isn’t worth it. The food wasn’t great, and we mostly ate out. The staff were helpful and can’t be blamed for the food. When we arrived a little early, the friendly receptionist changed us to a room that was ready. Still, it was the worst holiday we’ve had.

The hotel and dining area were clean and tidy, and the pool was clean too. There were plenty of spots to sit in the shade or sun. Our room was good, with comfy beds and a big balcony. The friendly staff were always ready to help, and there was lots of food to choose from. A great experience, thank you.

The pool was nice, and the rooms were basic but clean. We booked through a third party, so I wasn’t surprised by a balcony facing another building. At least we got to “enjoy” the view of a man showering directly opposite behind semi-opaque glass. Food was very poor. There was nothing vegetarian beyond salad and plain pasta with a sauce that tasted like tomato ketchup. The all-inclusive white wine was quite nice, but the orange juice tasted disgustingly artificial. The evening entertainment, including bingo, was laughable. Maybe it’s okay for people over 80.

All the staff were really friendly, and the holiday was fantastic. Friday’s 360 video party with Alex and Coco was unforgettable. Thank you, Hotel Costa Verde, for a great vacation.
