Marriott's Club Son Antem

The pools are good, the grounds are lovely, and there are good facilities for children. But the metal slide sits in direct sun and could burn a child, so be careful. The place feels like a five-star Marriott on the surface, but it seems geared toward selling overpriced timeshares. The rooms are tired, and my son-in-law spent 90 minutes with a “Del Boy” type trying to sell him one. I paid the full price in advance. If I hadn’t phoned the resort to check something, I’d have turned up with two small children to find my reservation cancelled without notice. Since I’d already booked flights, I had to pay another 400 euros to keep the booking, or cancel the whole trip. Staff apologized, but it didn’t feel sincere, and they did absolutely nothing to show they cared about that or the other problems we had. At the Terrace restaurant we waited 90 minutes for overpriced food. You’ve been warned.

A good escape from the crowds, with an excellent golf course and tennis and basketball courts, plus just about any outdoor activity you can think of. The service indoors was great too, and the restaurants in the area were excellent.

Julie was a great help before we arrived and throughout the booking process. During our stay, Marcos and Manuel also kept in touch clearly and looked after us thoughtfully. I’m very grateful to the Housekeeping, Front Desk and Engineering teams as well. Their professionalism and hospitality made the holiday unforgettable for my family and me.

We had a peaceful, serene stay in a room facing the first hole, with a lovely view across the golf course. It’s a very nice, quiet resort.
