Mix Smart

The location was convenient and the price affordable, so it works if you just need somewhere to sleep and don’t mind a minimalist setup. But the room didn’t feel as comfortable as I’d hoped. The sheets had a few stains. I’m sure they’d been washed, but a fresher look would have put me more at ease. It was noisy at night, with guests audible in the hallway and upstairs, and I struggled to rest. I wasn’t given any information about breakfast, so I didn’t know if it was included or where to go and ended up skipping it. Staff were polite, but not very present or warm. Even a little more communication at check-in would have made the stay feel more welcoming. Better cleanliness, less noise, and clearer information would help.

The noise carried straight down the hall, and at 3 AM we could hear every word from other rooms. There was no soundproofing. Breakfast felt like a health hazard too: the supposedly clean cutlery looked used. The same woman ran the kitchen and was the only cleaner for the whole hotel, yet she banged on our door to clean and was obnoxious and rude. After complaining about our first room, we were moved, but the next one was visibly dirty too. The floors, shower, toilet, bedding and patio were all filthy. The first room had stained sheets, hair on the bed, dirt across the floor, rubbish on the patio and a toilet that looked recently used. Check-in was sketchy and unprofessional, and the room looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. Reception told us a manager would be available in the morning, then said, “It’s Sunday, no manager today.” They lied to our faces. We gave up, booked another hotel and left with no regrets. Even the other guests were filthy, which says it all. Don’t book this place.

We spent a weekend at Mix Smart Hotel in Mallorca, and found it clean, convenient and affordable for a beach stay. The rooms were modern and minimalist, nothing fancy, but very clean and well kept, and the air conditioning worked well. We slept well both nights, though there was noise from young tourists at nearby hotels. It’s a short walk to the beach, with bars, shops and bus stops close by. Check-in was quick and smooth even though we arrived late, and the staff were friendly and helped with our questions about buses and local tips.

The housekeeping staff cleaned my spotless room every day, which I really appreciated. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the location made it easy to explore the island. The hotel offers good value, especially for its cleanliness. Breakfast was decent, but more variety or better quality options would improve the stay. A clean, affordable and comfortable choice in Mallorca.
