Marriott's Club Son Antem Hotel

Breakfast was good, while dinner felt rather average, especially for the price. My renovated room had a very comfortable bed, though in some parts of this large resort you can still see its age. Check-in was easy and the staff were very friendly. The Wi-Fi was fast enough but had occasional connection problems. There’s an adjacent golf course, and the property also has tennis and padel for anyone who doesn’t want to golf, as well as a pool and sauna. It’s near Palma, about 20 to 30 minutes from the airport. I’d recommend renting a car or taking a taxi to get there.

Rio was welcomed with little gifts when we arrived, and it was clear the hotel genuinely welcomed our dog. I also left behind a pair of earrings, and the team went out of their way to arrange their delivery, a lovely sign of service that continued after our stay. The hotel’s setting is beautiful, from the golf course to the reception and courtyard. Staff across reception, housekeeping, management and the restaurant were friendly, professional, smiling and helpful. Special mention to the fitness coach, who was extremely kind and patient.

We stayed with our two kids, and the complex worked really well for families and golfers. The outdoor pool is a short walk from the main restaurant, with its own bar serving drinks and snacks. There’s also a small indoor pool and a gym with modern equipment. You can even run along a beach with the treadmill screen showing the route. The rooms and public spaces were spacious, comfortable, modern, beautifully decorated and very clean. Service was exceptional. It’s about 15-20 minutes by car from the airport without being under the flight path, and 25 minutes to Palma. If it fits your budget, you won’t regret booking.

This really isn’t a family-friendly hotel. Children have very limited pool hours, and breakfast was poor, with a weak selection for a 5-star hotel. Staff had an attitude. Getting to Palma without a rental car is impossible. Construction was going on all around the hotel, and the tennis courts were run down. On the drive in, there were random abandoned buildings, with no information about what was happening.
