The location was excellent for exploring the old city, which is what I was there for. The room was basic, with decor that seemed untouched for 40 years(?) and the feel of a train station waiting room. Still, it was clean, on the 8th floor away from traffic noise, and had crisp linen, a choice of pillows, an excellent bathroom, and a good though hard bed. The reception desk was friendly. Not where I’d choose for a wedding night, but ideal for my stay.

Hotel Murrieta is a good value, close to Logroño’s old centre. It has what you’d expect from a 3-star hotel, though a renovation would improve its appearance. The rooms are clean and comfortable, service is efficient, and breakfast has a broad, satisfying selection. I’d recommend it.

The rooms are spacious and beautiful, and the central location is great. The reception staff were wonderfully accommodating, especially Fiore, an Italian girl who worked tirelessly to keep guests happy and comfortable. Do check the price of the laundry facility before sending anything!

The staff were really kind, and the price was reasonable. It’s just a few meters from the city centre, with a large free car park very close by. There’s also an excellent restaurant opposite. Very nice, no need to look for another hotel!

The rooms were disgusting, with rust on the heaters, 1970s decor, and a prison-like feel. It was 34 degrees in Logrono, yet the air conditioning blew hot air. This was easily my worst hotel stay in a long time. I’ve visited Barcelona, Valencia, Madrid and Zaragoza on this trip, but this was the first place I felt compelled to comment on. Don’t waste your money!
