We'd been looking forward to stopping for a drink and some food halfway through the Via Verde walk. After walking 12km, we went another half hour into town and found the business completely closed, even though the front gate wasn't locked. Their dog nearly bit my girlfriend. Please update your opening hours. In response to the owners, Google Maps said you were open, so I didn't see a reason to call or check a schedule. A hotel or restaurant being open in the afternoon isn't unusual. I understand that a dog barking and running at someone may not actually bite, but my girlfriend had seen a Spanish dog bite my right thigh a few years earlier. Given that, she wasn't going to stick around to find out how poorly trained this dog might be. In my experience, Spanish people treat dogs appallingly, often keeping them as security and feeding and watering them sparingly. And no, my girlfriend wouldn't bite the dog. She's a vegetarian, like me.
