Apartamentos Margoysa I

We had two days left, but I just wanted to get out of there. We spent our time on excursions to keep our time in the apartment to a minimum, then left as early as we could on Sunday. My husband had already reviewed the cockroaches, and they replied that they got in because we'd left the windows open. How shameful. They didn't come through the window or the gap under the door, like she told us. They were already inside, huge and with wings. Disgusting! We didn't ask to change apartments. To where? And check whether the cleaning lady is actually cleaning or watching TV. We saw her sitting on the sofa watching it. You can see from the street because she had the door open to "air things out."

The apartments are simple and practical, with everything you might need. We stayed at the Margoysa I apartments, where the welcome when we arrived was lovely. The location is perfect, next to the city centre and very close to the Mar Menor. Highly recommended.

The prices felt completely unjustified, and I got the impression they charge whatever they want. I won't return. We booked a second one-bedroom apartment, which was even older and had no windows facing outside, just internal courtyards where my son found spiders and lizards. In the first apartment, there was no air conditioning, something they don't tell you when booking. They just use fans that move the hot air around. An 86-year-old woman was sweltering. For the last two days the toilet wouldn't flush, and we managed as best we could, trying to avoid contact because they weren't in the best mood and it was better not to get angry. I want to clarify these apartments aren't affiliated with the other Margoysa properties, which do have air conditioning. We mistakenly thought all the Margoysa properties were run by the same company. What I regret most is that a working person who struggles to save up for a few days with their family can have the whole trip ruined by such a bad experience. It was terrible. I hope the owners take action.

The owners are especially attentive, and everything was clean and tidy. It's also very close to the beach. I'll be back next year.
